My mother deserves to have her
tribute 24/7!
Happy Mother's
Day
Sunday, May 11th
While it's easier
some years than others to find the perfect gift for mom to express love,
gratitude and appreciation, this is one of those years when I find myself
wondering how to let her know how much I love her.
Do you know my mom?
She's that sweet
woman who helps me at the shop. She's probably helped many of you.
Beading wasn't her passion, but because of her I was able to turn a fantasy into
reality. Her dreams are all about making everyone she loves feel loved.
She's that one
person to count on when my car won't start and I need a ride; when my husbands
jeans need repairing; when my nephews need to be picked up from school; when my
25 year old son he needs his tummy filled with gramma's cooking, when my sister
needs a place to live until her house is ready to move in. This list could go on
for pages and pages but you get the pattern here, don't you?
When we truly 'need', mom
is always there. What about mom? What does she need? If you ask her
you will get the same answer each time. "No, I don't need anything. I'm
fine." Don't ask her - just take a look around. Maybe she
needs to have her car washed, maybe she needs her windows washed, maybe she
needs some weeds pulled or leaves raked. Maybe she needs a day trip to the
Hoover Museum followed by dinner at her favorite restaurant. Maybe she
just needs her family to come for a visit or phone her without needing
something. Am I still talking about my mom or yours?
I could write volumes on
my mother and all the love and support she gives her family, but somehow this
tribute to her has unfolded into a message for everyone reading this whose
mother is like mine.
A one-day-tribute in May
is not enough time to show our love to our moms but start there and continue
your tribute to her all year long.
